  • Description: Provides one or three-day bereavement support camps and a school-based bereavement support group. Services are for school-aged children and youth between the ages of five and 17. Participants are first screened to ensure services are appropriate.

    Bereavement camp - includes horse therapy, dog therapy, art projects, interactive support groups, and games. Meals and snacks are provided. Takes place in outdoor environment. Participants are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

    School-based bereavement groups - offered at schools. Include fun and play activities to honor memories of loved ones. Participants learn coping strategies to help them express thoughts and feelings. Students are accompanied by a support person from each school.
